I'm another flower child in NY. I heard about you from my new flower friend, Lily :) She's such a sweet lady and I am grateful for getting to know about her.
I love your Ikebana arrangements so much. I've been so lazy not practicing any of those since my teacher at Ohara school retired from his job... ;p I should start studying it again by myself though. I'm currently unemployed and looking for some freelance jobs. If you are attending some Ikebana show, please let me know.
and yes, so hard to trash a chance beauty of nature. Very nice pic, by the way.
Thank you for your comment! Lily is a sweet lady. I love her and her flower work as well.
I hope you find a flower job soon. it is tough time for everyone... I recently had a baby girl so i'm afraid i can't attend any flower shows for a while but hopefully soon when things get slow down around me...
so happy the 2 of you met. maybe one day the 3 of us will work together...for sure, our connection will enhance each other in our mutual passion! aya, i LOVE this, it's like a still life portrait, the way you took this photo. i miss you terribly in class. hana, there is a Sogetsu exhibit in the Village June 3-5 at the Tenri Gallery.
